Finance Manager, Children’s Services

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Finance Manager to provide financial support and analysis to the council’s Environment directorate to help them deliver value whilst creating efficiencies and looking at improving income generation.

This CCAB or equivalent qualified/part-qualified Accountant will need to have strong attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting. They will also need good communication and influencing skills, managing expectations of budget managers effectively. Most importantly will be your proactiveness and ability to work at pace to help improve the quality of the finance team.

Having previous experience of supporting Environment services such as Parking and Waste or similar within a local government setting is highly desirable and will make your application stand out but it is not essential.
